Jibon Ahmed is a fearless Bangladeshi photojournalist whose work captures human resilience, struggle, and justice. With over a decade of experience, he has contributed to major outlets like Netra News, The Daily Manab Zamin, BenarNews, and The Quint. His photography highlights critical socio-political issues under pressure and surveillance. Jibon's contributions extend to investigative reporting for Netra News, including high-risk exposés on secret detentions. His work was featured in ‘Witness Documentary - 35th July: Bangladesh's Deadly Protest’ by Al Jazeera, reaching global audiences. On February 26, 2015, Jibon showed remarkable courage by helping secular blogger Avijit Roy and his wife, Rafida Bonya Ahmed, during a brutal attack. Though he saved lives, it led to job loss, police scrutiny, and criticism. In 2018, his viral photo of a couple kissing in the rain ignited a national debate on love, norms, and freedom.
